At Burke and Wills Removals, we are committed to keeping costs down for you and protecting the environment. Here’s how…
Investing in an Eco-Friendly Fleet
We have been investing in our fleet of removal vehicles. As a result, we are now proud to have a HGV fleet that adheres to the current Euro 6 emission standard required for London’s new ultra-low emission zone (ULEZ). Unfortunately, any heavy vehicles entering this zone that do not meet strict new emission levels are subject to a significant charge of £100 a day, which is often passed down to the customer by removers using non-Euro 6 trucks. Happily, our fleet can now handle all of our London moves and avoid passing on those extra costs to our customers.
This green pollution and carbon initiative will likely spread and roll out to other cities and metropolitan areas across the UK. As a result, we are continually assessing our fleets’ efficiency and keeping across the introduction of any new technology that enables us to minimise our trucks’ impact on the environment.
Green Packaging Materials & Practices
We also work very hard to reduce waste by recycling and using eco-friendly materials for our packaging as much as possible.
We re-use and recycle our packing boxes and paper, and we aim to use minimal plastic whenever possible. The plastic we do use is all recycled, and we use recycled bubble wrap materials.
We also strive to avoid waste. We will bring a variety of shapes and sizes of boxes with us when packing your belongings, ensuring you only use and pay for what you need.
